Blueprint 4.0 Breakdown

Question

I see where The Blueprint 4.0 has been released. Can you share a little more about what it’s for, how people are doing with it and who might benefit from it?

Answer

I swore there’d never be another 4.0, but certain events changed that plan and gave rise to something truly revolutionary. I had been researching hypertrophy in humans be it sarcoplasmic or myofibrular.

These are the established ways muscle grow in trainees. Yet, I and others observed periods of accelerated muscle growth that couldn’t be explained by such traditional models. And it wasn’t muscle being regained, it was new muscle – an important distinction because the latter is much more difficult than the former.

The Research

Against that backdrop, I came across a most interesting study by Dr. Antonio regarding hyperplasia. Whereby muscle fibers split, and brand new muscle fibers grow at an accelerated rate. It’s the only thing that could explain the rate at which these guys were building new muscle.

At about the same time, I dug up some old articles by John Parillo. The famous Canadian trainer was writing about 300lb ripped bodybuilders in the early to mid-90’s, when such a creature didn’t exist.

He not only accurately predicted the arrival of these monsters, but laid out a road map as to how to become one.

What made this unique was that John didn’t talk about drugs: He knew the vast majority of competitors were using the same stuff, so the answer had to be in training and diet.

Specifically, he experimented with putting the muscle under and extreme stress, then following that up with an excruciatingly painful (usually) loaded stretch, to release more localized growth factors.

The key to this was in the loading and time under tension for the stretches, as no other training protocol produced anywhere near the same results.

Who It’s For

To be clear, this protocol isn’t for the faint of heart. It requires at least 5 years and preferably 10 under the iron, and the best candidates are those that’ve been at a plateau for a year or more. Gareth Denyer was one such example.

He’s a Personal Trainer down at HCP Barbell in TX. And when I say PT, I really mean it – he’s the real deal, getting college football players ready for the pros. They HAVE to be bigger, faster and stronger to succeed. In order to see if it worked, he tried it on himself.

In just 2 months, he went from 15% to just 9% body fat and gained muscle all over his frame. He literally looks like a different person.
